The Qatari Unified Bureau Insurance was established pursuant to Prime Minister’s Decree No. 33/88 , approving that Qatar has joined the Unified Insurance Card Agreement regarding the passage of cars across Arab countries, and to the Memorandum of the general Secretariat of Qatari Prime Ministry No. ب م و/49-5/88 dated 15/2/1988 on that subject.
On 26/10/1989 national insurance companies, operating at that time, established the Qatari Unified Bureau Insurance.
Currently, the Qatari Unified Bureau Insurance issues third party insurance policies for non-Qatari cars entering Qatar through border points. The Bureau also settles claims and pays damages on behalf of vehicles which enter Qatar carrying insurance cover from other Arab States “ Orange Card “ issued by any unified office and approved by the General Arab Insurance Federation, if they are involved in accidents or caused material damage to any party inside Qatar.
Our Services
First:
The Qatari Unified Bureau Insurance team operates as follows:
Issue third party insurance policies for non Qatari vehicles entering Qatar. Bureau staff are available 24 hours in Abusamrah border point and in the Head Office in Doha, Airport Road, Ibrahim Nabina Building.
Second:
The Head Office shall provide national insurance companies with the “ Orange Cards : issued by the General Arab Federation Insurance as being certified by it and unified for all Arab countries which are members of the Union.
Third:
The Head Office shall compensate for material losses caused by non Qatari cars and vehicles that carry “ Orange Cards “ issued by the Unified offices of states which are members of General Arab Federation Insurance whilst in the State of Qatar. This is in accordance with the terms of a valid Qatari third party insurance policy.
